#7 Seiko 6923-6020 Quartz Repair/Light Restoration

The past few months have been busy for me so apologies for the lack of posting! I have moved back to Birmingham for my second year at the School of Jewellery and have been working on a few different projects that have consumed a lot of time. I have recently signed up to the British Horological Institute and alongside my Horology degree, I will be completing the BHI exams to become accredited- watch this space!

Let's get back into it with a light restoration of an 80s SQ with an unusual case style....

The crystal is heavily scratched so requires replacement...
The movement, dial and hands are very clean.
Crystal Removal using a Seiko S-220 Press
Before Bracelet Cleaning and UV Sanitisation...
After Bracelet Cleaning...
Crown and Stem Gasket Replacement
And the new gasket is fitted to the crown....
The watch looks great after the much needed clean and new crystal

Work Completed:
  • Full case and bracelet disassembly
  • Case and bracelet ultrasonic clean, followed by UV sanitisation
  • New crystal
  • New crown gasket and caseback gasket
  • New battery
  • New spring bars

This watch is available for sale now- click here to view!
