The 6105-8110 is a special watch, if you're reading this you probably already know! The watch was popular with and worn by many US army GI's during the Vietnam War due to the robustness and quality, but it was truly made famous by the 1979 film 'Apocalypse Now' this model of watch was worn by Martin Sheen who played Captain Benjamin Willard, from which it gained its iconic status and nickname.

Over the past few years these watches have become incredibly collectible and for good reason! The hacking 6105 movement is of a very good standard and built to last and when packaged with the iconic large dial markers, traffic light seconds hand, double domed crystal and unorthodox asymmetric case it's not a style you often see.

This particular watch has been sympathetically restored with little expense spared. We have had the movement completely overhauled and serviced, and whilst apart the barrel arbor pivot holes (which are often worn causing low amplitude and poor timekeeping) have been upgraded to jewels allowing the watch to run better for longer. Along with the service, the watch has benefited from a new reproduction Type II crystal (correct for this production year) from Spencer Klein and a new waffle strap from Uncle Seiko. To preserve the character and originality of the piece, the case has been thoroughly cleaned but remains unpolished. and original.

An absolute must for a Seiko collector.
