The 7A28 series was introduced by Seiko in the early 1980s and the technology employed was pioneering at the time. This series was the first quartz chronograph movement produced with an analogue display and has really earnt its place in horological history. Not only is the watch capable of measuring 1/10ths of seconds (watching this is mesmerising!) the tenths hand hits 0 at the exact same moment as the second hand hits each second- a true indication of the time, thought and effort put in by Seiko.

This particular watch is in great condition for its age and all functions operate correctly. The watch was disassembled and received a deep ultrasonic clean, gaskets renewed and a new crystal fitted. A new battery was also fitted recently.

These Speedmaster variants are becoming increasingly desirable and the price is only going one way. A great everyday piece with great history behind it, this watch is not one to be missed out on!

The water resistance has not been tested so cannot be guaranteed.
